Membership Application

Complete the form below to apply for membership with the District 5 Democratic Club.

Annual dues are $20. If you are unable to afford dues, please check the box below for a dues waiver. Please fill out the membership application, and then pay dues once your application has been accepted.

Per our bylaws, here are the requirements for the two levels of membership:

There shall be two categories of membership:

A. Voting Member: An individual qualifies as a Voting Member if they meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Are a registered Democrat, or intend to register as a Democrat when eligible, including non-citizens and residents with no legal immigration status.
  2. Reside in, work in, or maintain meaningful involvement or demonstrated commitment to the civic, cultural, or social life of San Francisco Supervisorial District 5.
  3. Support the purpose of the Club as stated in Article II.
  4. Have paid all current Club dues, except in the case of economic hardship.
  5. Have attended at least two (2) Club meetings or qualifying events within the 12 months prior to the vote.

B. Associate Member (Non-Voting): Any individual who supports the purpose of the Club but does not meet all the qualifications for a Voting Member. Associate Members may attend and speak at meetings but cannot vote, make motions, or hold office.

Do you support the purpose of the Club as written in the bylaws? *

The purpose of the Club shall be to advocate for the interests of San Francisco's District 5 and District 5 Democrats by advancing progressive values, supporting Democratic candidates and causes, and strengthening community engagement.

Have you been to 2 club meetings or qualifying events in the past 12 months? *

You may apply before attending two events; once you have, you meet this voting qualification.
